Goodbye USA, Hello ???? Expatriate Now!

By Jamie Douglas

Are you still in the formerly United States? Watching your corrupt and incapable politicians destroy the last of the republic? Tired of all the posturing by those incompetents? Fret not, because you are not alone. The Gallup organization’s just-released Annual Governance Survey shows that a staggering 92% of Republicans are dissatisfied with their so called leaders, while only 65% of Democrats feel that way.

Now the real question here is not why such a large percentage are unhappy with their Elephants and Asses occupying the Senate and House, but rather, what is wrong with the 8% of Republicans and 35% of the Democrats that are happy with the status quo? Is this the result of the educational system, which has consistently been dumbing down our best and brightest? After all, you obviously don’t have to be a bright light anymore to become President of the United States. George W. Bush was the best example of that, proudly proclaiming after his selection by the US Supreme Court that there is hope for “C” students.

Regardless of which party is in charge, it is the large corporations with their lobbyists that are feeding the politicians, who in turn pass legislation such as the disastrous Medicare Bill, which forbids the government to negotiate drug prices. The government is paying full list price for all drugs dispensed through Medicare and Medicaid, is not allowed to insist on much cheaper generics, and you, who elected the bums, are paying for it.

82% of all US citizens completely disapprove of the way Congress is mishandling its responsibilities to the voters.

69% state that they have no confidence in the legislative branch of the government, up 6% from last year and an all time high. 57% have little or no faith that their elected representatives will be able to solve domestic problems, and 43% have no confidence in the ability of the government to solve international problems, also record setting numbers. The approval rating for Congress is at a dismal 15%, which is amazing, considering that it had been as low as 13% just recently. I wonder who the people are who think that things improved?

Maybe it is those famous “Job Creators,” the Koch Brothers of Wichita Kansas. That’s Charles and David. You know, the ones who spend millions to create fake science, so they can continue to pollute unabated. The ones whose net worth, according to Forbes Magazine, went from 17 billion dollars each in 2009 to 25 billion dollars each in the midst of the recession during which they fired 3000 workers. Something here is defective! Supposedly they are what the Tea Partiers call “Job Creators”, but in reality they are just greedy little piggy’s who are killing jobs so they can increase their personal fortunes. And that is the way it works across the whole spectrum of Corporate America. The amount of cash being horded by corporations right now has reached a new record, as they are well aware that the USA is not in a recovery, but sliding ever further into that quagmire called national debt.

So if you are still wondering about your future, you had better make up your mind about where to go and what to do, unless you want to waste the next few years in a hopelessly deadlocked economy, with leaders who are unable to lead because of all the favors they owe to those who got them elected – that is the corporations, not the people. Those you have entrusted with leading your Corporate States of America out of the darkness instead have threatened to turn off the lights.
